After months of pinning and planning all the perfect details for your big day, we’re sharing wedding day items you do not want to be without on your wedding day. Once you enter the last leg of the planning, we get it —  you just want to be done with all of the details and married already! However, even with all major tasks sorted and ready to go, there are small details that can easily be overlooked on your wedding day.

Let’s get started with the top 10 wedding day items you DO NOT want to be without!

  • Your wedding rings —Exchanging of the weddings rings is one of the most crucial parts of your ceremony. Don’t let your response to, “The rings please” be, “I thought you had them!” Assign someone the duty ensuring that the rings are with the right person prior to the ceremony.

  • The marriage license —In many jurisdictions, the marriage license must be on site at the time of the ceremony. Avoid the mishap of having a “symbolic ceremony” and consider delivering the marriage license to the officiant before the wedding day. Your wedding can’t be official OR LEGAL without it.

  • Your vows — Along with the wedding rings, your vows are the most heart-felt parts of the ceremony. The last thing you want is to forget them at home or simply forgetting all together! (i.e. waiting until the last minute to write them or insisting you have them memorized)

Vendors:
  • Vendor contact list —Things happen and wedding days aren’t perfect, having a wedding day vendor contact list can be a lifesaver. Some vendors might be lost or stuck in traffic, keep a list handy so you can contact them about their whereabouts.

  • Payments and tips —Make sure to have any outstanding payments processed to the vendors before the actual wedding day. Keep additional tips in envelopes and give them to your vendors to show them your appreciation as well!

  • Snacks and water —You will be busy getting ready, running around, greeting guests, etc. that you might not have the time or simply forget to eat! Pack a few granola bars. It’s so much easier to grab a snack than a full meal. Don’t forget to keep yourself hydrated!

  • An overnight bag/luggage —Some couples go back home after the wedding but most go off to their honeymoon or other places. Pack extra clothes, shoes, garments, etc. for the next day or the new few days.

  • Emergency Kit  — Anything can happen on your big day, especially when you least expect it! Stay prepared and have an emergency kit handy. Add extra bobby pins, first aid kit, blister treatments, q-tips, pain relievers, eye drops, stain lifters, etc.

  • Tradition —”Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a sixpence in her shoe…” Even modern brides incorporate some traditional elements into their wedding day. What tradition(s) are you incorporating? Tell us in the comments below!

  • Lastly—Just breathe and go with the flow. You have spent all this time on your dream day and it is finally here. Don’t forget to let go of the planning and micromanaging. Take it all in and enjoy your big moment, you are finally getting married.
