Another unforgettable trip just a few hours away!
Similar to Los Cabos and Tulum, Cancun is a city we at Precious Nuptials & Destinations, love to visit every time we want an unforgettable vacation!
This is another Mexican city that is located on the Yucatán Peninsula bordering the Caribbean Sea. Cancun is known for its clear beaches, luxurious adults only resorts and dynamic nightlife.
Cancun is composed of two main districts that natives and tourists love to stay in. The more traditional downtown area is El Centro. This district is filled with Mexican as well as international boutiques for those who would like to do any shopping. The second district is Zona Hotelera. This area consists of one long, beachfront strip of the most popular resorts, bars, nightclubs, dining restaurants. Cancun is also a known location for students to visit for an unforgettable time during their university spring breaks.
Furthermore to leisure, Cancun also has intriguing history about the ancient Mayan ruins. The main commercial street known as Boulevard Kukulcán, is a popular site of El Rey, ancient Mayan ruins, and Museo Maya de Cancún, a museum that houses the long ago Mayan artifacts.
Feeling like being adventurous and exploring? In addition to swimming and laying on the beach, take your significant other snorkeling and diving in the Mesoamerican Reef or a cenote, a natural sinkhole. Another fun activity would be sailing for jet-skiing in the calm Nichupté Lagoon. We also love taking the ferry to Isla Mujeres Island, which is home to Garrafón Natural Reef Park or visiting the Xel-Há water park.
